Served with steaming white rice, adding ghee or sesame oil for a sumptuous meal.
Seasoning 1tsp mustard, 1tsp bengal gram, 1/2 tsp fenugreek, 2 dried red chilli, and curry leaves in 50ml of sesame oil. Add chopped onions or dried Vatthal and saute nicely. You can also use other vegetables like drumstick, brinjal, okra..etc, for different tastes. Add 2-3 spoon of Iyer Aathu Vatthal Kuzhambu and saute it slightly. Add around 600 ml of tamarind extracted water. Boil it is slow flame till the kozhambu thickens and the oil layers up. Add some hing for enhancing the tastes.
Serve the Kozhambu with steaming white rice, adding ghee or sesame oil for a traditional taste.
